How the Age NI Personal Alarm Service works

You press the alarm

Press the button on your pendant or wristband day or night. You'll be connected to the Emergency Resolution Team. There are no numbers to tap in, just one simple big button to press.

With a fall alarm, the Emergency Resolution Team will automatically be alerted when a hard fall is detected.^^

Your call is answered

The Emergency Resolution Team will respond within seconds. You'll hear them answer through the personal alarm equipment. They'll stay on the line to reassure you.

Help is on the way

The Emergency Resolution Team will alert the emergency services or your emergency contacts. Help will be with you as quickly as possible.

You can try an Age NI Personal Alarm in your own home for 30 days. If you're not satisfied or you change your mind for any reason, get in touch within 30 days and Taking Care will arrange for the equipment to be returned via an Evri ParcelShop or a courier collection service. Once your alarm equipment is received, you'll receive a full refund.

^^ The fall alarm sensor uses an algorithm to recognise the difference between ‘hard’ falls and other movements. Like many similar devices on the market, it cannot guarantee to detect all falls because it is dependent on where it is worn and the amount of shock or impact from the fall. If you fall and can press the emergency button then you should do so.
